Dalmia Bharat is a cement company with roots in the industrial legacy established by the Dalmia family in 1939, now led by Yadu Hari Dalmia with the next generation, Puneet Dalmia as Managing Director and Gautam Dalmia as Joint Managing Director, running the operational business. The group has grown to approximately 49 million tonnes of cement capacity, making it one of India's significant producers with particular strength in Eastern and Southern India.

The family has made sustainability central to its stated positioning, with a commitment to a low carbon footprint relative to industry peers and a philosophy articulated internally as "Clean and Green is Profitable and Sustainable." In a sector where cement production is inherently carbon-intensive, Dalmia's investment in waste heat recovery, alternative fuels and clinker reduction reflects a genuine effort to reduce emissions intensity rather than simply report on it.
