The Kalyani family’s driving vision has been a multi-generational commitment to metallurgical supremacy, evolving from rural auto-parts makers to architects of national defense. 

The legacy began in 1966 when Neelkanthrao Kalyani, an agrarian entrepreneur, founded Bharat Forge to supply parts to a nascent Indian auto industry. But the family’s true metamorphosis was engineered by his son, Baba Kalyani. Returning from MIT with an engineer’s precision and a global mindset, Baba modernized the shop floors, transforming the Pune-based company into the world's largest forging powerhouse, supplying every major aerospace and automotive giant globally.

Now, the third act of the Kalyani story is unfolding under the stewardship of Baba's son, Amit Kalyani. As Joint Managing Director, Amit is pivoting the family’s heavy-metal heritage toward the digital and green future. He is aggressively pushing the group into electric mobility, AI-driven manufacturing, and advanced artillery systems. The Kalyanis represent a rare industrial dynasty where each generation fundamentally upgrades the technological DNA of the business.
